Ever spray paint something and end up with paint on something else? Of course, cuz it is near impossible to avoid overspray! So, I had an idea while working up a recent project- make the overspray work for you, and create a little less waste. I was trying out Glitter spray paint, which is rather more expensive than other spray paints, and wanted to make use of as much of it as I could to justify the price. So, while painting a thrift store vase for Valentine’s Day, I laid out some cardstock and vase filler pebbles to catch the overspray and get more bang for my buck.
When the vase was dry I set the cardstock aside to use as embellishment on a few cards, then gathered up a few things to turn those pebbles into some Sparkly New Office Supplies. Some 12mm button magnets, cheap thumbtacks, and e6000 glue(I love this stuff). A little dab’ll do ya, stick ’em together, and a couple hours later my bulletin board is Bling-ified!
You know, I’ve never really considered myself a ‘Girly-Girl’ but how can anyone resist a little Sparkle?
So what will you make from your overspray?
